About the Writers: Hassan Salamey, Shardai Taylor, Lindsay Rachel Tukes

My name is Hassan Salamey and I am an inexperienced blogger, but an experienced writer. I am 18 years old and have attended Dearborn High School, Michigan State University, and am currently studying at Wayne State University. I am hoping to get a degree in criminal justice. As a student at the university level, academic writing consists of highly diverse and challenging rhetorical analysis of these controversies that perfect your future arguments. When you can see the effects of literary tools at work, you can better adapt to the details being presented to you. For example, if there is a music video or advertisement with certain rhetorical elements, experienced rhetoricians will have a more in depth understanding of what the producer of the work is trying to present. After an in depth analysis of the rhetoric it is much easier to either support or rebut the message the promotion is trying to get across.  Personal work I have done within the realm of rhetoric has been in papers that spark controversy. In high school I was taught to write in 3rd person, which I feel helps one develop as a writer. If you can write outside of your personal opinion, your writing becomes almost universal and extremely powerful. My passion for writing is not only limited to rhetorical analysis work, but poetry and fictional pieces.  Reading stories has been greatly extinguished due to other forms of media, and I hope to preserve the passion and necessity of the written arts within my generation. This atmosphere has allowed me to become a balanced writer by not only creating strong arguments on my opinions, but to observe and challenge the opposing viewpoints. In the near future I hope to become a human rights lawyer, as well as complete a series of short stories and am even considering some work in poetry. Every day for me has been a learning experience with infinite possibilities and pathways to complete my dreams.

Hi my name is Shardai Taylor I am in my second year of college. I grew up in Detroit, MI I am 19 years old. I attended a Consortium College Preparatory High School.  In my seventh- twelfth grade years I was placed in advanced writing classes.  Growing up I always wanted to attend Wayne State University and was very excited when I did get accepted. Though the writing classes here are somewhat more challenging than the ones in high school I am look forward to the challenge.
Writing has always been an escape for me from life’s troubles.  It allows me to vent an even if I can’t cry the word will cry for me.  Most of the time I choose to write poems or just letter to the person who hurt or made me upset at that time. So I guess you can say it helps release any stress you may have. The future goal that I have in writing would be for me to develop the skill to be able to write a book.  My book would be based on the struggles I went through as a child/teen. I want my writing to be able to inspire others. To help them know no matter what obstacle you face you can go to college and finish like I plan to do.
As a writer it is also our job to help inform people about different situations and problems that are happening. This information is usually provided through the media. If there is an outbreak of a virus it will be reported through the news. The specifically helps people learn were not to travel and were to stay away from if possible. The media always provides people with the hottest fashion tips. Then again there is also a bad side to the media at times they spread other people’s business. They also over expose celebrities. This could also be a very bad thing. This is showing the youth the party side of celebrities. With kids looking up to them that’s not a good thing to do it is a bad influence and writers should put an end to this.
The political aspect of writing can sometimes be very difficult at times. As writers we have to take a stance on what we believe. Even if we only agree with certain things about the politician and disagree with everything else we have to make a choice. This can be hard because we put a lot of feeling into these types of papers. Then the paper comes off as an opinionated paper when you’re trying to persuade people to believe as you do. As I’ve been too much emotion shown in your writing in this case will form a weakly writing argument.
As a young adult you relies that form more than half of your life you will have to write academically. Writing has become a permanent part of your life now matter which work field you chose to go into. For me as a nurse practitioner I will have to write medical reports on the patients I have seen that day. They will have to be written in medical terms so that the doctors and other nurses will understand the patent’s help problems and the medicine there are on.
As time goes on as a writer your writing skills will develop more if you have the proper training and a good teacher. You will learn different form of writing and different techniques. Though you will have different emotions about different thing you will learn when and where to use them. So your paper will be strong and flow without flaws. Though there will be challenging times and you may want to give up just know there is someone waiting for you to succeed. Success is the best way to go and in writing failure is never an option.

My name is Lindsay-Rachel Tukes. Honestly, I will be the first to say that if anything, hard work makes a definite difference. Personally, I am infatuated with the sciences as the love of my academic life. The mysteries and depths of intelligence that has broke free from this field of study, has always been my inspiration in life to want to learn more, to help others. As a writer, my lower-hand of workmanship has taken over, unfortunate to say. However, I enjoy the beauty of writing; to be able to communicate and understand others and the art of humanity. I have found English to be the escape of reality and the revolution of freedom in a powerful way. The broadness and brilliance that derives from simply effectual writing has shaped our lives as we know it. The internet, mailing, television, publication of books, novels, newspapers, and many other sources of writing has allowed ideas across the world to integrate and subtly manifest a world run by communication. Writing also has its dark side (if you may) in that it is structured with great rhetoric, causing for great analytical skills of the context. Politicians typically use writing as the weapon of mass destruction, in their defense, astoundingly. However, I have my own share of writing effectively. I have learned about so many controversial issues that have shaped our world and ultimately, our lives. Being a pre-medicine major, I have had the opportunity to research different aspects of society and write about them in a matter where I can relate or not. This aspiring segment of writing allows us to learn about social and current matters that are covering the existence of life.

Being an 18 year old and living in Detroit Michigan, has somewhat privileged me into the art of survival and determination. In my history of creatively writing, I have made novels, poems, letters, and essays that expanded my levels of understanding, who I am as writer. I was able to illustrate novel pages for children and create a banner that represented, essentially, the life of my poem. I found this task to be most effective by writing about the creation of nature, life. The beauty of writing must derive itself from a source; in every case, nature. Admiring the construction of nature and honoring the process of it, is that which offers in writing, a complexity of intellect and publication. Being able to describe the indescribable is the trueness of writing. This principle then branches out to other aspects and subjects of writing such as; socioeconomic, scientific, political, humanistic, and ethical issues. At most times, I stumble upon the difficulties of writing quite often.  Maintaining a relevant status to writing is a task that I have yet to achieve. I do understand that there is no such thing as a perfect writer because of the improving technicalities of our society. Writing is a demand of life that is constantly changing. I succeed, in writing, when it concerns issues that ignite my desire of learning. Subjects that contain any information about science, environmental issues, health problems, or anything else pertaining to scientific background, I love writing about. However, I always pursue writing as a revealer of inner truths. Integration that comes from writing is what a world of integration needs.
I urge people to write. Coming from a person who is consistently being trained in writing, I appreciate the discipline of it. It mirrors education deeply and passionately, for it is a world within itself. Go discover things, learn them, and hold it dear to you. This is what makes life beautiful.
