Pepsi’s Ads Rock

   Advertisement is all around you whether you’re outside or just relaxing and watching TV. Over the years advertisement companies have expanded their creativity. They have also changed the lengths they are willing to go to get consumers to purchase their products. For example production companies spend thousands of dollars just for someone famous to make an appearance in their commercials or billboard ads. In this Pepsi ad the people who made it choose two beautiful women (Beyoncé and JLo) to play the main characters. These two women have fans from all over the world. There are women who want to be them and men who want to be with them? Does this ad make you want a Pepsi?
         This Pepsi ad was created in 2006. They year were most people of my generation were just reaching their teen years. These women are both really pretty and they used them to appeal to the young mind. Beyoncé and JLo are a lot of young girl’s idols in some ways many girl dream of becoming one of them. With that being said girls would start to believe that these two women drink Pepsi and they are the “ideal women” so drinking this would make me closes to becoming like them. The more young girls want to be like them the more Pepsi would sell.
          This would also so appeal to teen males. The two women are dressed as hot biker chicks and fighters. What’s more hot than that? Drinking Pepsi to them would make them feel as if they have the right to have a girlfriend like that. Bring the thought that as a man this is what you should want and be accustom to. At this age young males are very impressionable and can be talked into almost anything by people they look up to.
     Throughout this video there are two very powerful women from two different racial backgrounds. No matter what your racial background is women empowerment is always very important to other females. This commercial is very uplifting to any woman. It shows that all women “rock” in their own way.  There are feminist all over the world that would be very happy about this commercial. Pepsi gets an A+ for empowering women all over the world.
          Their outfits were very tight and showed the curves that many women do not have. There is a lonely woman that wants their bodies. That is where it gets hard to make a choice on whether this hurts more than it helps. Some people would look at this commercial and think that if they can drink Pepsi and look like this why can’t I. Many advertisement ads have women a size 3 or lower. If someone already has low self-worth this would only make it worst. Some would say you can’t blame how others feel about themselves on these ads. With that being said if it’s all around you how could they not. Show some regular size women and this would help many women have more self-love and love for others.
    On the other hand there were some very handsome men like David Beckham and the other man who were acting also. This could give other man confidence to try and get to know beautiful women. This would make it look like Pepsi helps give you style and makes you look smooth. In clubs many people would start to order Pepsi’s.
    The theme song in the back ground is a song both women are signing; “Wild thing” is the world they repeat over and over again. This would be something that biker people would listen to. It gives you a since of coolness. It also puts you in the mood to go out and do something fun and/or crazy. The beat is very capturing. Like if someone was in another room and this commercial were to come on they would make their way back to the TV.

          The colors were not bright they put you in the mindset as if you were watching a real movie. The women were riding down a dark path to get to the Pepsi bar. This actually turns out to be a club where people go to drink Pepsi.
       Everybody knows that the super bowl is where some of the hottest commercials. The new Pepsi commercial is of two older women who are fighting over a Pepsi Max pop. These two commercials tie into each other with the women who are supposed to be crazy about Pepsi.
              The newest commercial would make you believe that older women go crazy when someone takes something from them. This commercial plays with the fact that older women are said to be very grumpy. They are grumpy when you walk to fast or talk to loud, but most of all they get sassy when it comes to Pepsi Max. This commercial reminds me of some many older women with attitudes.  They can be sweet but when you piss them off they go above and beyond to get you back.
           When the Pizza boy goes to delivers the pizza you start to get the fill of an old Mafia movie. When she says “where’s my Pepsi Max punk”, it shows the tradeoff of a product. The first old lady looks as if she is scared that someone will see her and want some of what she has. She also talks like she has a very bad attitude calling him out of his name. This is very mean and evil.
        The other older lady is sneaky. She uses a fishing pole to take the other women’s Pepsi.  This leads to her teasing the other lady after she received the pop through the sunroof.  She sticks her middle finger up at the lady from across the street. This shows that she has a lot of attitude towards the other lady. Pepsi makes this into a game as if they are younger and willing to fight over a pop.
   Their body language is very dry meaning that it’s clear that they don’t like each other. The lady that ordered the food storms across the street ready to go to war. As they began to fight it shows who is stronger. They make the person who started it actually win the fight. This does not happen in most cases so it gives some people hope.
    The language that they are using should not really be on TV. Yes they blink the words out. Still most kids would be able to figure what they are saying. The advertisement companies used this to be funny to teens and adults; however there are kids who would still see this. So they should have chosen words that are more suitable for the young mind of kids.
    This commercial was very funny and it would make you stop in your tracks to laugh. It’s always funny to hear old people cruse. It’s even funnier to watch them fight. The ladies were screaming owe and watch it. They captured the audience by creating these screens were old women were so upset about this pop. This pop has to be good for old women to have this much of a fit and risk hurting someone else. They could also hurt themselves.
    Advertisement agencies are hired to help promote their products. Some succeed buy using comedy while other’s choosing the phrase that “sex sales”. No matter what they choose to use the opinions are audience is what really matter. If they chose to buy their products it means that they are doing something right. Pepsi show them how it is done with these two commercials. They use all the tricks that they can. They also try to appeal to everyone whether young or old. Expanding over the years is the way to do.
